  • Ramadan Town Hall Meetings & Civic Iftars:

These two important projects will help MAS chapters across the country facilitate support and acceptance between Muslims and non-Muslims. It is through this environment of mutual understanding that those of different faiths can learn to work together toward a cooperative, productive society, effectively destroying fear and ignorance.

  • Iftars and ‘Eid ul-Adha Meat Drive:

By inviting non-Muslims to share their Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims are opening their houses, and defeating the negative images of Islam so prevalent in today’s world.
Feeding your neighbor—despite their faith—encourages Muslims to spend in the way of Allah (‘fee Sabil Allah) to “Do good to…the neighbor who is close by and to the neighbor who is a stranger, and the companion at your side, and to the traveler…” (4:36)

  • Programs for the Needy:

By providing backpacks for needy children, and feeding those who are hungry during Ramadan, Muslims are making Da’wa, and fulfilling a command from Allah: “…the likeness of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain that sprouts seven spikes. In every spike there are 100 grains, and Allah multiplies for whom He will’ (2:261).

  • What is Outreach Season ?

MAS Service Corps has designated from the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan through Eid ul-Adha as “Outreach Season”. Throughout this three month period Muslims’ outreach activities intensify and become more relevant. During this time Muslims enjoy an increased visibility throughout the nation. All through Outreach Season, MAS Service Corps will be reaching out beyond the Muslim community to our non-Muslim neighbors to help the needy and open the channels of communication to share the blessings and joy of this blessed time with our fellow citizens.
