Eid Gift Drive
- MAS Austin 2nd Annual
The Muslim American Society (MAS), Austin Chapter, and MAS Youth of Austin are conducting the Second Annual Eid Gift Drive at various children shelters, orphanages, and treatment centers in Austin, to share our joy of Eid with the needy children in the community. On Friday, October 3, 2008, our youth and volunteers will be sharing toys, Eid decorations, greeting cards, and smiles with the children and families several Austin area shelters and orphanages.

This project is part of the national MAS Outreach Season 2008 campaign, launched by MAS Outreach Department.
Our goal is to present gifts to children of all ages at those facilities, regardless of their faith or ethnicity. The gifts are to be decoratively wrapped with a gift bag, and an Eid greeting card from the students at the Islamic schools in Austin. This is an excellent opportunity for the Austin Muslim community to participate in community service and outreach. We need your help! Here is how you can help:
- Sponsor an Eid Gift:
Each gifts costs $10, including the wrapping, card, and all other items that apply.
All donations are tax deductible (Tax ID# 363885457).
Please donate online to sponsor an Eid gift.
- Volunteer:
We need volunteers to prepare the gift bags, write the greeting cards, and distribute the gifts to the children at the shelters.
Please remember, even a small donation can help bring a smile to a child’s face.
